The needs of students with multiple disabilities can be difficult to program and communicate.  When teams fail to focus or become too entrenched in business as usual, they lose their effectiveness.  This session examines successful advocacy from the perspective of a parent and from an administrator.  Common mis-steps from both areas are discussed and strategies presented to mitigate miscommunication as teams consider assistive technology, purposeful instructional programming, and meaningful transition.
